As we’re getting closer to Valentine’s day you certainly notice a change in the shape of our cookies. We also are working to make new individual desserts and chocolate candy, meringue and more so as you taste them, it will bring the “French lover attitude” in you. But as I mentioned to you the previous years you don’t have to wait until February 14th to be “the French lover”…. The New Orleans King’s cake and the galette des Rois will be available until Mardi Gras which is February 12th this year. And the pie of the month is a cherry pie. After 2 years of telling that our bakery was more looking from outside has a real estate building than as a French bakery, that we had to do something to get the “French look “ going. It’s not finish yet but do not hesitate to tell Malika what are your impressions so far….. And as every year right before Valentine our bakeries are filled with heart shaped “douceurs” from chocolate to bread, from cookies to desserts, there is plenty to impress your Valentine’s. A bientot, je vous aime beaucoup. Luc ![]() Bonjour, Good news for the fan of “Rendez vous” the French singing band is making his first show in 2012 tomorrow, Saturday morning at our Marietta bakery. They are usually playing between 11 am and 2 pm. Our galette des rois and New Orleans king’s cake are back again and has usual we will be serving them until Mardi Gras which is the 21st of February just one week after Valentine’s day. Talking about Valentine’s, we have a lot of new “douceur” this year. 1st of all the Confiture de l’Amour is back but with a new twist, Danielle asks me to add something to make this preserve more glamour to spice things up so I thought of adding ginger to it but she had passion in mind so in addition of red delicious apple, petals of rose, raspberry and sugar there is passion fruit. I’m also using the Confiture de l’Amour as a filling for a new macaron de Paris, it's called of course Macaron de l’Amour. Meanwhile Chef Pierrick has created a new individual dessert, a chocolate mousse with a vanilla crème brulée and a raspberry preserve inside this heart shape dessert cover with a bright red icing and is as good looking as it is tasty. Chef Mathieu also is busy but more focus on finding a date by Valentine’s day….. Cookies, variety of chocolate truffles and more are to come to make you a perfect Valentine. A bientot Luc Bonjour les Amoureux, We will be open Monday 14th breakfast and lunch from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM for all the Lovers (we'll still be open for other people too ...!). I am very lucky that my parents are visiting right now! As usual, I put my mom to work, and she made a big batch of rillettes. For the ones who don’t know what "rillettes" are, it’s basically pork ribs cooked for a very long time with different spices. Once it’s cooked, she separates the bones from the meat and then fills the jars. It’s to eat cold as a spread on baguette. Bon appétit! ![]() We have done a few changes with our website, so please take the opportunity to go on the special pages and check everything we have to offer for St Valentine’s day between "la confiture de l’Amour" (apple, raspberry and rose petal) to "La fleur d’Amour", St Valentine should be very proud of us.
