Bonjour,
By now you should feel that fall is already here along with the smell of the spices coming out of our kitchen …. Cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg are going through some serious damage with our pastry Chef but they are a big help to make our pumpkin bread, cookies and even our new pumpkin macaron de Paris so much better, the speculos are back as well as the apple pie. All our Halloween specialties are also back from the grave (not really) and a few surprises are coming soon as well. A bientot Luc Starting this Saturday, and then every first Saturday of each month, your favorite french band, The Rendez-Vous, will perform at Douceur De France Marietta, from 11am to 2pm.
Bonjour,
Summer is already almost behind us and Labor Day is this week-end. Both bakeries will be open for brunch between 7am to 3:30pm. If you haven’t tried our peach, raspberry and rosemary pie or the new marzipan cookie, well I recommend you a little trip to Douceur de France. It is worth it! We have a lot of project; we are working on that I would like to be done already with… The big one is the extension of the Marietta bakery. Our designer Géraldine is working very hard on it, so construction will be starting soon. Malika, that we can’t thank enough for the way she handles our bakery in Roswell is working on a catering menu. I would like also to add a few items in our current menu that you have requested and that is “Les Galettes” or savory crepes. And yes we will start serving wine out of our Marietta bakery very, very soon. A bientot Luc Douceur de France and Chef Luc Beaudet will be participating at Good Eatin' Great Cause event this Thursday, August 23rd.

Today is our one year Moving anniversary to our Marietta bakery and what a year it has been.
Merci, merci beaucoup for your support to help us growing as we learn on the job to deal with a much bigger place. And by the way Danielle and I want to congratulate Guillermo Dominguez as our new manager. Guillermo has been with us for 2 ½ years and will make sure with Chantal that you are getting the best experience you can get in our bakery. As a reminder our Roswell bakery will close from the 1st of July to the 18th of July and will remain open in Marietta with regular hours except the 4 of July, we will open from 8 am to 3 pm. Merci et a bientot Luc Bonne Fete des Peres,
And here we go! We are ready to celebrate the most underrated week-end of all “Father’s day” week-end. Here at Douceur de France we take that day very seriously and that is why we came up with a chocolate tools box. Forget about Lowes or Home Depot. Our chocolate tools box tastes much better, check the picture on our website and I am sure you will agree with me. Come to our bakeries with your dad this Saturday and we will have plenty of goodies for him (and for you). As we are approaching summer our Pastry Chef will start to make pastries lighter and fruity like this new macarons de Paris garnished with chocolate milk and passion fruit (you got to try it). That reminds me also that Malika, Danielle and I will take some time off in July so we will close our Roswell bakery between July 1st and July 18th. Our Marietta bakery will stay open as usual. A bientot et see you soon, Bonjour,
Just a quick note, to let you know that both bakeries will be open on Memorial Day. We will be serving breakfast and lunch from 8 am to 3:30 pm. The bakeries will close at 4pm. Also you certainly know that the Georgia peaches have been ripe and juicy for the past few weeks and that is the reason why you see on the shelves the peach and vanilla preserve and the peach and lavender preserve (the lavender is coming from our little garden at the Roswell bakery) and you will start seeing this weekend the peach pie on display as well. And at last this is a message to a special customer: "Lady, I won’t mention your name but you know who you are. You went to Paris, to a bakery called Ladurée on the Champs Elysées. This bakery is known worldwide for their Macarons de Paris, and you brought back to us a beautiful box of their Macarons garnished with a soft buttery caramel with a pinch of coarse sea salt. And you looked at me in the eyes and challenge me if I could do these Macarons as good as those from Ladurée. Well Lady those Macarons will be available this Saturday and let me offer you one of our box for you to try. Yes our packaging is certainly not fancy as the one of that upscale worldwide known bakery from Paris but let me know what the local bakeries can do for your taste wise…" A bientot and Have a nice Memorial Day weekend. Luc Bonjour,
Merci, merci beaucoup for coming last Saturday, so many of you came for brunch to both bakeries. You made a lot of Mom very happy and you made Malika and Daniellle very tired at the end of the day. Now we are focusing only on graduation cake and wedding cake for the rest of May. But I am also trying to change the menu a little bit and I will let you know as soon as it is official. Merci encore, merci beaucoup et a bientot Luc |
